New Delhi:

A Class 10 student was killed after he was set on fire while going for tuition in Andhra Pradesh’s Bapatla district. It is suspected the 15-year-old teen was burnt alive after petrol was poured on him.

While he was being taken to the hospital in an ambulance, he kept on saying the name “Venky”. The student, Amarnath, also named three others.

He died at the hospital.

The student’s family alleged that Venkateswar, a 21-year-old man, had been harassing his sister and he had confronted Venkateswar over it.

Bapatla police officer Vakul Jindal told NDTV a murder case has been filed. Another case under the stringent POCSO Act has been filed.

Mr Jindal said they are questioning the accused.
